ArtistProfiler.art is an online digital artwork created by Maxime Chanson. Conceived as an interactive platform, it invites each artist to identify and then articulate the elements that constitute the singularity of their artistic practice.
Users are matched with recognised artists who present a similar profile, meaning they share both a Motor (the underlying motivation of their creation) and a Means (their preferred mode of expression), according to a classification of 24 Motors and 24 Means.
At present, ArtistProfiler.art features nearly 3,000 Analytical Portraits of recognised artists. Each portrait includes:
- a detailed artistic profile;
- a representative selection of images and videos of works;
- information on their presence on the international and/or French art scene;
- a list of recognised artists sharing a similar artistic profile.
You can explore your own singularity by creating your personal page, then selecting the Motor and Means that best correspond to your practice. This approach allows you to position yourself instantly among artists whose artistic profile is close to your own.
