On artistprofiler.art, all Contemporary Artists have the opportunity to create and complete their own page, thereby forming a Portrait which helps to elucidate their artistic approach.
Who is considered a Contemporary Artist?
An artist is considered contemporary if they were Contemporary Artist born after 1931, are not already recognised for another professional activity, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Their main activity is the production of Contemporary Art
- They have taken part in at least three exhibitions in spaces dedicated to Contemporary Art
- The majority of their income comes from the sale of their works of their art works.
Artists Portraits are presented in the form of pre-filled and personalised pages created for artists belonging to one of the following three scenes: International Scene, French Scene, Scene of Notoriety.
Emerging artists who do not fall into these categories can create and complete their own page (a self-Portrait).
